The Travel Agency Welcomes the “Weed Nuns” to New York for Harvest

A Collaboration Rooted in Ritual, Renewal, and the Rhythm of the Moon
Under a new-moon twilight, The Travel Agency — New York’s premier cannabis destination and a female-founded brand — welcomed the world-renowned Sisters of the Valley to New York for the first time.
Known globally as the “weed nuns,” the Sisters blend activism, spirituality, and plant medicine. Their arrival in New York marks the beginning of a new campaign celebrating harvest, ritual, and renewal — and the launch of Sisters of the Valley New York, expanding their sacred mission to the East Coast.

A New Moon, A New Chapter
What began in California’s Central Valley in 2015 now takes root in New York, where Sister Karina leads a newly formed enclave. The gathering unfolded at Hudson Cannabis, a women-led Hudson Valley farm founded by sisters Melany and Freya Dobson, who cultivate flower in rhythm with the lunar cycles.
Beneath a darkened sky, ritual keepers and cultivators joined to honor cannabis as a sacred plant — one tied to healing, intention, and connection with the natural world.
“Our mission has always been to heal the people, to heal the planet, and to restore ancient wisdom — to expand how people understand the plant,” said Sister Karina.
“In New York, we’re cultivating connection, ritual, and feminine sovereignty through guided meditation and ceremony — sacred spaces where the plant is consumed with intention and reverence.”
The collaboration reimagines cannabis as modern ritual — a moment of devotion to the earth and to ourselves. Through shared intention and rhythm, The Travel Agency and Sisters of the Valley remind us that every harvest is a form of rebirth.
“Partnering with The Travel Agency, a female-founded leader in New York’s cannabis movement, was an intentional choice,” said Sister Karina.
“Together, we honor cannabis as a sacred bridge that heals people, unites communities, and reconnects us to the earth.”
