One of our favorite parts of the winter season at Lincoln Center is the iconic Nutcracker by the New York City Ballet. Set to Tchaikovsky’s timeless score and featuring breathtaking sets and costumes, this magical production runs through January 3. It’s the perfect way to immerse yourself in the holiday spirit.
2. Ice skate at iconic rinks
Ice skating at one of NYC’s iconic outdoor rinks is a must for those who want to embrace the winter weather. Two of our favorite places to hit the ice in Manhattan are:
Wollman Rink: Located in Central Park, the Wollman Rink offers stunning views of the park and the city skyline, making it the perfect spot for a classic NYC winter experience.
Gottesman Rink: Also in Central Park, Gottesman Rink (formerly known as Lasker Rink) offers a more relaxed skating atmosphere that’s perfect if you’re stopping by after a trip to The Travel Agency.

All films in the festival are from the 1920s and 1930s, and all but one is in black and white (not that the exception to the rule is particularly modern — it’s in sepia).
