Can I Use Apple Pay at Dispensaries? Questions About Paying for Cannabis

Licensed cannabis dispensaries in New York City are a little different than other shops you frequent every day, including in how you can pay for your products. The same payment options you’d use for a nice dinner or to buy a set of luggage may not work at our dispensary. Ensure a smooth takeoff and landing with the right payment method ready to go.

What forms of payment are accepted at The Travel Agency?

These payment methods are all fair game at The Travel Agency, whether you’re ordering in person or picking up your order:

Cash

Debit cards

For same-day cannabis delivery, you can only pay via ACH bank transfer. You cannot give your delivery driver cash for your order.

Which forms of payment are not accepted at New York dispensaries?

The Travel Agency cannot and does not accept the following payment methods for in-person shopping:

Apple Pay

Discover – Credit

American Express – Credit

Mastercard – Credit

Visa – Credit

Digital payment apps like PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App

Does The Travel Agency charge debit card fees?

Yes, we charge $1.99 per transaction. Paying in cash is a great way to avoid this fee.

Do you charge credit card fees?

Yes, Debit $1.99.

Can I pay for my order in advance?

With our online pre-ordering system, you can browse our selection, make your choices, and pay online via ACH bank transfer. You can also place your order, then pay via cash or debit at pickup.

Do dispensaries accept Apple Pay?

Dispensaries, including ours, cannot accept Apple Pay at this time.

Do you offer any discounts or loyalty programs?

While New York dispensaries do not currently offer discounts or sales, our Travel Club members can cut the line when new releases drop. Travel Club members also get exclusive invites to member-only events and can access exclusive product bundles.

What kind of ID do I need to buy cannabis?

To comply with legal requirements, we accept government-issued photo IDs. Your driver’s license or passport is just right to start your travels. Make sure to have one on hand to verify your age at the point of entry and purchase.

Do I need a medical card at The Travel Agency?

A medical cannabis card is not required at The Travel Agency. Any adult age 21 and above is welcome at our dispensary, provided they bring a government-issued ID.
